Feelings....

I have still another month and a half here, but already I feel as if the end is approaching. I cannot begin to describe how it feels, to leave this city I lived in for 5 months, to say goodbye to friends I laughed and shared experiences with, uncertain if I will ever see them again or how many years will pass till I can see their faces once more. For some people I could care less really, but as in everything there is something left to be desired. Sometimes the world seems so small .... And yet it is so large. You divide your heart and leave the parts to be guarded by others, scattered across the continents, if they are willing to take up that task. And then one day, should the Universe desire it, the friends can meet again and pick up right where they left off, as if nothing ever happened.

Time is a thief ... And a fool.

On a brighter subject, I will now go put in the oven a whole baguette of garlic bread (those frozen ones) and eat the whole thing, yeah!!!! :D Well, I'm starving .... =P

Yesterday I was at M.'s birthday party, and it was great! =D I ate all this multicultural food, tried many things. ^^ Korean Chapche (?) and Spanish Paeja (?) were my favorite. Oh! And let's not forget French Crumble~! ^_^ My mouth waters as I think of those delicious tastes.... The Korean pancakes were great as well. :) All washed down with Karjala beer.

Ok, it's 17:07, in 10-12 mins I will take the baguette out of the oven. They're so easy to make, and tasty... Don't know why I didn't get them before. ^_~

Tonight is also a Waffle party..! Woo hoo....! =D More food!!!!! Food makes the world go round, that it does. ;) There is a Greek saying which means, "A starving bear won't dance", which I believe true. The brain shuts down when deprived of food.

Well I will go indulge myself in that monstrosity!

Till tomorrow my friends, I bid you farewell! ^^

woo hoo!!!! lucky girl....I wish I could try different foods...I only get to eat what I make or what Jay makes (ok, he's a good cook), but there are a lot of things I wish I could try.
Enjoy my dear the many different cuisines from all those cultures. Do you like beer? I certainly don'! Never thought you'd actually start drinking it.
Good writing...liked how you expressed yourself in first paragraph! Love you, Mom

Hey,

Argh, reading your blog takes me back to what I'd already forgotten about leaving Sheffield - bugger! ;) It must be with people coming from all over the world but suddendly being in a new but similar situation - having to create a social life from scratch, and of course people going in exchange being the social, outgoing, positive people they are - it's a unique opportunity, unfortunately one that only lasts for so long. I wish one could be Erasmus forever :)

(That might get exhausting after a few years though, hehehe)

Rock on!
